Dark Horse Presents #1 came out in July of 1986, and went on for a 157-issue run, ending in 1993. The cover for the first issue was by Chris Warner, creator/artist of the post apocalyptic Black Cross character, featured above. He went on to illustrate several of DH’s early mini-series, before becoming an editor for the publisher. This issue also introduced Paul Chadwick’s Concrete, which went on to become one of the publisher’s most acclaimed characters.
