SPACE is always a fun show, as it’s purely about comics. Small press, self-published, indie comics. If you’ve never been, you owe it to yourself to check it out. I’ll have a table, as will several of my fellow PANEL Collective members.

Also this year, it’s the return of the pre-convention party!

Friday, April 20 – The Laughing Ogre Comic Shoppe (4258 North High Street, Columbus, OH 43214) will host the pre-party from 7:00PM-11:00PM Come meet and talk to many of the SPACE exhibitors before the show. Also, free SPACE passes to the first 20 people through the door.

Hope to see some of you at the pre-party, as well as the show itself.

Indie Cover Spotlight: Thunder Mace #5

This week, I’m going to indulge my fondness for fantasy comics once more by featuring 3 books by Ohio-based publisher, R.A.K. Graphics. Incidentally, those initials stand for Robert A. Kraus, the eponymous writer/artist/publisher.

First up, the flagship title from this one-man operation, Thunder Mace #5:

Published in 1989, this book was exactly what you’d imagine it to be: a fantasy adventure starring a dude with a magical mace. Black and white, the way indie comics were meant to be!
