This week I’m going to take a look at some more books from Adventure Publications, except I’ll feature their non-fantasy titles. First up, DeathHawk, created by Mark Ellis and featuring some of the earliest art from Adam Hughes:
This book came out in the May of 1988, and features a cover by Dave Dorman. The story is about the 25th century adventures of a corporate outcast/salvage operator, and his protoplasmic partner, Cyke. It’s your standard rebel vs. evil corporations, high-octane space saga. But it had some charm and humor to it, and it’s really cool to look at the early career of one Mr. Adam Hughes.
Mark eventually collected and completed the story and self-published the TPB. More info here, if you’re curious.
